Import from Day One

Bring your Day One journal into Sello. It happens in your browser: the export is read and encrypted on your computer.

1. Export from Day One

1. In Day One, open Settings › Journals and pick the journal. If you have several, export each one.
2. Tap Export Journal › Export journal JSON file.
3. Choose Include Media to bring your photos and videos, or export without media for only the text.
4. Save the ZIP where your computer can reach it.

2. Import it into Sello

1. On a computer, sign in at sello.voypalante.com.
2. Go to Settings › Your data › Import… and choose the ZIP.
3. Check the summary and click Import. Keep the tab open until it finishes.

What comes along

• Every entry as a private entry, with its date and time.
• The title: your heading, or the first line when there isn’t one.
• Text formatting, tags, photos and videos.

Audio recordings, PDFs and HEIC photos are left out, and Sello lists them at the end. Importing the same ZIP again skips what’s already there. More about importing, including what to do if it stops.
