Private or public
Every entry is either private or public. The label at the top of the entry tells you which.
Private
- Encrypted on your phone, text, photos and videos.
- Only your phone can open it, and a computer you approved with your phone.
- Not on your blog, and not found by search engines.
Public
- On your blog, at its own address. Anyone with the link can read it, and search engines can find it.
- Its photos and videos are public too.
- It’s no longer encrypted, because everyone has to be able to read it.
In between: a private link
To show one private entry to one person, without publishing it, create a private link. It stays encrypted, and you can turn it off. How private links work.
Switching
Publish makes a private entry public. More › Make private takes a public one off your blog and encrypts it again, photos and videos included.
